The name behind the wavetable.

PPG is Wolfgang Palm's company, started in Hamburg in the 1970s. Before the Wave 2 and the wavetable synthesis that made PPG a legend, there was a run of fully analog machines built in tiny numbers. The 1002 was one of the last of them, and only around two dozen were ever made.

Now Palm has brought it back. Together with Cornel Hecht and the Liquid Sky collective he has rebuilt the 1002 from the original blueprints, with modern components, MIDI and CV, in a classic console-style housing.
